| About Myself: | As I think it's tricky to gauge compatibility based on a written description. As for the basic, quantifiable information about me, I'm physically fit with a slender build, active (hiking, walking, tennis), and enjoy a wide range of cultural activities, particularly the theater, jazz and foreign movies. I'm well educated and well read; so appreciate thoughtful people who pay attention to life. I enjoy good conversation and wide ranging exchanges of ideas. I'm looking for a long-term relationship, since I view life as an adventure, best shared with those I care about. I am an extroverted introvert, which means that I hate walking into a room full of strangers, but I have a wide circle of friends and an active social life. Good food, fine wine and lively conversations are never in short supply at my table. I am remarkably free of bad habits, unless you count social drinking and caffeine. I'm adventurous and love to explore new places and experiences. Travel is one of my passions, and I've even been to places that my very smart friends can't find easily on a map. I'm independent and comfortable enough with myself to let others go their own way when they want or need to. I value the company of good people and strive to be a caring, dependable friend. I don't define myself by what I own, and don't enjoy people who confuse themselves with their things. I'm socially and politically progressive. I have positive but realistic outlook, and get along best with others who try to keep life's ups and downs in perspective. I find life intrinsically interesting; so don't create drama just for the sake of it. I don't think I'm photogenic (who does?), but I attached a couple of recent photos to my profile.
